A Journey to the unknown land of ‘will power’
We have a journey together to the land of will power through your scientific will power. Our journey is to a land which is the secret of transmission of mankind from static to dynamic, a land which is the cause of all roots of relations and actions and reactions. Yes, the price of relations beautify through scenes of ‘will power’. How is will power formed? Does it arise from animality or humanity? Is will power the same as thought? Is it the tendency to do? Or is it a search? These are hidden facts. We can only say that will power does not exist by itself; it has arisen from a source. The will power for making a beautiful statement arises from a beautiful nature. The will power for drinking water arises from inside thirst. Some say, “Will power is the heart’s demand from the spirit”. Others say, “Will power is the preference of one ideal over another”. The statement made by honourable scholar and philosopher, Professor Mosavi, under the subject of ‘will power’ in volume 6 of Mulla Sadra’s book, Asfar (Journeys), is as follows: “The owner of will power travels to the door of power, and the light of power, i.e. knowledge becomes his/her guidance and the love for achievement and performance fills his/her entire being, and then the power of distinction and peaceable nature creates a visage inside him/her and ‘will power’ transforms into performance”. Others say there is first the willingness towards the desired and then there is intense consideration by the heart and then the ideal is placed within the heart and thereafter ‘will power’ transforms into performance.Sometimes man’s ‘will power’ is the will power for instinctive acts similar to animals, such as eating and sleeping. Sometimes will power is the will power of a scholar such as the discovery of nucleus for all cells by Robert Brown, British Botanist which would not have been possible except with a powerful will power. Albert Einstein’s Quantum Theory would not have been provided unless with a superior will power. And there was an outstanding will power involved when Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier established the largest and most equipped laboratory in the world in France before the 19th century with the huge inheritance received from his father with 2500 different equipments, 3 accurate scales, 13 thousand testing glass containers and thousands of chemicals. But it should be said that yes, the analyzers of atoms, analyzed atoms with tools, but a friend of God and an Aref men-Allah el-Allah (a gnostic who returns from God to God) not only comprehends the evolution of the atom particles with the power of gnosticism but 50 thousand traces from each atom in every being are revealed to him and the mother of these revelations is a resolute and eager will power.Since we are now in the Arabic months of Rajab and Shaban, it is necessary to mention that the main reference to will power is to those who have selected their path for the sake of God’s Order and whose will power becomes fruitful through connection with the Divine Will Power not through desire. Each through expressing a beauty in the world surrenders his/her will power to the will power of God. The same goes with the principle of exactness and manifestation of all Holy Prophets. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) with His Iron Strong Will Power which is connected to the Divine Will Power at the moment of His Appointment as the Prophet, which He well deserved, guided the world from the darkness of ignorance to the light of science and research. And His True Successor, Ali (PBUH), the son of Abu Taleb, kept the flag of religion and science hoisted with 20 years of seclusion and thereafter by revealing the reality of religion through combating the hypocrisy of the Marequin and Qasetin and Nakesin saved the roots of faith and religion from burning. Sometimes, will power is the will power of Hossein (PBUH), the son of Ali in His shout of Hayhat menal zella va menal maskana (lowliness and indigence are well away from us) by bestowing His Blood and that of His loved ones. And sometimes will power is the will power of Hassan (PBUH), the son of Ali who among 30 thousand faces of those pretending to be friends, who where in fact hypocritical, seditious and revengeful to the will power of God, made peace.And the same goes with the rising of the Gha-em (the twelfth Imam) who is a manifestation in fact visible and apparently hidden from the eyes of people and His kindness and blessings are bestowed upon the whole world through will power and sanctity.Yes, wherever you are and whoever you are, know that!Two important subjects have been revealed to you:First: Life on Earth belongs to those who possess ‘will power’.And second: Will power is sometimes imprisoned by desire and at times is the same as Divine Will Power.
