Does acceptance of religion result from a person's thought or faith?(2)

In the Name of God

Our main discussion is about religion, the main source of which comprises researches by Ostad Seyyed Ali Mousavi, about verse (Ayah) 30 from the blessed chapter (Surah) Rum of the holy Quran that states:He whose interior is filled with religion based on science, not based on prejudice, will not be separated from religion even if hit on the head with an axe.And now we question ourselves as to whether the source of such a religion is only from the thoughts of humans? In spite of scientific advancements today, super and nanotechnologies is there any need for human thoughts and the spending of time on religion with scientific basis? As science advances and humans gain access to the complexities and intricacies of the world and beyond, will the need for religion be felt in such societies?Ostad Seyyed Ali Mousavi, in the booklet Wajib Al-Wujud, chapter 21, states: The world should know that the person, who managed to introduce the Oneness of God to the hearts of the monotheist by scientific means not through prejudice, was Aristotle. Since about 384 years before the birth of Christ, when Aristotle was born in the city of Stagira in Macedonia, this thought developed in the minds of the inhabitants of the world that religion should be accepted on the basis of knowledge. His belief has remained firmly in the heart of the world through centuries and today in the world of knowledge, with reference to the religious thoughts of humans, such a school of thought can be compared to the shining sun which has dazzled and shifted the minds and thoughts of humans from one-sidedness to pure truthfulness.Indeed, the void in religion has been changed to fullness. Different religions have come to change this vacuum to eternal fullness and this state of eternity was completed and reached perfection with the pure religion of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). This is so because the stronger the introducer of a religion, the stronger his religion will be and his effectiveness will be extreme. Today the reality of the true religion has been perfected with the Wilayat (guardianship) of Imam Ali (AS). On the other hand, the world of knowledge has reached such a high position through outstanding thought of humans that the biggest scientific equipments and devices like warships and submarines, transcontinental carriers and spaceships have reached their climax. People like Russell claimed to have split knowledge and gained such influence in science, that sometimes like Ernest Renan claimed that soon science would replace religion. Renan, a scientist and lawyer in the middle of the nineteenth century, believed that knowledge could replace religion! In other words, they believed science would undertake responsibility for enforcement, morality and lawfulness. In his book named 'The Future of Science' he claimed that knowledge would replace religion in the new future. Renan is the person whose views are discussed in the west and even in the east and his statements are studied and researched. But Ostad states: Be aware that after some research and investigation, he admitted that he had made a mistake and that science cannot continue working in the place of religion! Rather, it can help humans to find the reality of religion and to understand and recognize the realities and the untrue and not to bow before any statement but rather be realistic. The work of true science is that it recognizes the oppressors and the criminals who change face and to find people such as Hajaj Ibn Yusuf who hide behind the mask of Abuzar. This knowledge is important. It is not that we consider science to be without value. No, do not think that science is without use! It is with science that a person can understand that if one Allaho Akbar (God is Great) affects the soul of a person, everything seems little and worthless to him. Perishable odds and ends no longer hold value for him. One who seeks science in order to find the truth on the basis of religion acquires religious thought becomes a well-endowed person. Those who go and always plead in their lives are deprived of knowledge! But he who has reached contentment, even when he beholds the grandest phenomena, does not say to himself, "This is me." But rather says, "Allaho Akbar" that means that God is greater than all and this in itself lends peace of mind to a person on condition that he understands the soul of the matter! This is all science, that too true science. With the advent of Islam, through Rasulullah (PBUH), to the Arabian peninsula, special attention was drawn towards science since not only in Saudi Arabia but rather in the whole world, new ideas were created in the minds and thoughts of people; For the purpose of the clarification of scientific and religious issues, and for the removal of ambiguities and answering people's questions, gatherings were organized by the Infallible Imams. They had arranged periods for discussions for the removal of religion-related ambiguities. They would choose a day when whoever was in need or had a problem could refer to them or perhaps each year the Infallible Imams would prepare one or two religious congregations either in Rasulullah's Medina or at The House of God especially in the surrounding areas of Medina so that any ambiguities in religion that would arise for them would be removed and in all times they would try to strengthen the bases of science of their companions so that they could defend  the pure religion of Islam against other religions in all congregations. The reason for this was because they sympathized with the people and did not want them to accept religion on a rigid and prejudiced basis. After examining the views of Mir Ali Hindi, a contemporary, and Ibn-Nadim in the fourth century AH, Ostad states: Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) established the first school of philosophy in Islam. What was his motive for this? His holiness knew that one who finds his way to the position of philosophy and wisdom, if one moment of uncertainty appears in his religion, since he has truly found the roots of religion, his convictions over-rule his denials. He was aware that if people acquire true knowledge and together with this, believed in the guardianship of Imam Ali (Wilayat), the Prophethood of Rasulullah (Nabuwat) and the Oneness of God (Tawhid) as well as the Quran and ethics, they can enjoy genuine religion with its religious principles. Thus philosophical and rational squabbles became common in all Islamic gatherings. Therefore, it was Imam Sadiq (AS) who intermingled philosophical and rational trends with religion.       In another source likewise Zaki Saleh in the book 'Imam Sadiq (AS)' from the epistle 'Mesrieh' quotes: enthusiasm in religion was during the time of his holiness and this exhilaration was from the Iranian Shias! It is evident that from all countries especially Iranians a large number would become the students of Imams in the field of religion and Shiaism and that Imam and other Imams took a lot of trouble to construct genuine pillars for religion.  However, at the end of this discussion, the question is:  Who all have preserved this religion that today it has reached us?During the time of Rasulullah (SA) personalities like Meysam Tammar, Somayeh, Ammar Yasir, and till today great Shia theologists and divine philosophers, with religion-based thoughts and knowledge, have surrendered their existence and souls in order to save the world from corruption and war-mongers. It was they who tried to sow the seeds of religion in the minds of people with pillars of faith and this was so that they would say that all should be present but this should be within the framework of the Oneness of God (Tawhid) and justice with strong bases of knowledge.
