The Life of Sheikh Ansari – Part9

In the Name of God

Sheikh Ansari And The Respect He Paid to Sayyeds

[The Descendants of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)]

After the demise of Sheikh Ansari (May Allah exalt him), one of his students dreamt of him being in a gathering. Sheikh Ansari’s professor, Sheikh Mohammad Hassan, author of the book Javaher, was present too and some other people were there including Sheikh Asadullah Burujerdi. In that gathering there were 14 Holy Lights (the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Fatimah Zahra (AS) and the 12 innocent imams) present. Sheikh Asadullah was sitting at the lower part and the author of the book Javaher was sitting farther. Fatimah Zahra (AS) was on the other side. There were some scholars on the other side.

As soon as Sheikh Ansari entered, suddenly a Light from the Holy Lights, who was Imam Mahdi (May Allah hasten his appearance), rose and said to Sheikh Ansari:

Come. Come to us, our proof, our sign.

He paid a lot of respect and attention to Sheikh, asked him to go to him and put his hand on the floor and said: Sit here Sheikh.

Then Imam Mahdi said to his mother, Fatimah Zahra (AS):

This is Mulla Murteza Dezfuli.

Fatimah Zahra (AS) treated Sheikh Ansari with great kindness and stood up.

Sheikh Ansari’s student said: I went to my professor and asked, “Professor, I know you are highly esteemed, but where does this rank come from?”

Sheikh Ansari said: I have to ask my master!

O Master, the Proof of God, the Son of Imam Hassan Askari, I did not deserve all the respect you gave me. What is the reason for it?

Imam Zaman said: Ask my mother, Fatimah. She will be able to answer your question.

Then Fatimah Zahra (AS) said: Be aware that all the respect we paid you was because of the respect you gave to Sayyed children!

Yes, Sheikh Ansari was one of those great people who if a student of his was a descendant of Hazrat Fatimah (AS), he would not continue his lessons unless that person would enter the class!
When his Sayyed student entered the class, Sheikh would be silent for a few seconds and would then continue his lessons.
When he came across a Sayyed child on the streets of Najaf, he would not pass the street before the Sayyed would do so.
This was the respect Sheikh would pay to the descendants of Fatimah Zahra (AS).
