Ali ibn Mahziar

In the Name of Allah

Meeting with Imam Zaman, the Proof of God
(May Allah Hasten His Reappearance) and a Remembrance from the Beloved

At the time when the heart is cut off from strangers and is entrapped by the illumination of his beauty, a wanderer of his sanctuary and awaiting his meeting, if you ask the heart, “which are your most beautiful moments,” the heart replies, “both expectation and wonderment are beautiful, so also is the jubilation of meeting…”
Ali, the son of Mahziar, a great Shiite scholar and a true lover of Imam Zaman (AS) says: I knew of three locations for the meeting with the Imam (AS). Whenever I wished to be at the service of Imam Zaman, I would go to one of these three places.
1. Mecca (The intention was Arafat):
The night when all Hajis are in Arafat, Imam Zaman visits Arafat in order to protect and support all the Hajis. Those who are worthy have the privilege of meeting the Imam in Arafat.
2. Medina; near the holy grave of his mother, Fatima (SA)
3. Karbala
Ali, the son of Mahziar, said: I was determined to go to Mecca. It didn’t happen. I decided to go to Medina. Again it didn’t happen. I continued my way toward Karbala hurriedly.
I heard a voice, “O Sheikh, why are you in such a hurry?” He will surely come. If you wish to find him go to Baghi!
I suddenly realized that I was near Baghi Graveyard. I was perplexed. What should I do? Someone came and asked, “What are you doing here?” I replied, “I’m expecting someone.”
He said: He will come. Let us get out of this place together! I accompanied him. He said: Wait until I return. I remained there; a short time later he returned and said: Come! Go to that tent over there. I went towards that tent. As soon as I entered, I beheld my Master, The Proof of God standing there!
The Imam said; Come! This is a ring which my father, Imam Hassan Askari (AS), has given me and has himself told me to give it to the man from Ahvaz (Ali ibn Mahziar was from Ahvaz).
The following was written on the stone of the ring: There is no god but Allah; Mohammad is the messenger of Allah; Ali is the Wali of Allah.
The Imam said: I submit this to you, O son of Ebrahim! Only you should know our secret! Do not let anybody know of this!
There was a secret in that of which only the Infallible Imams were aware of; even Ali ibn Mahziar did not know what it was.
He was left wondering about the purpose of this secret. One day he was very heavyhearted. He saw somebody in the distance who told him to repeat this sentence:
By the grace of the secret which the owner of the ring bestowed upon me, reveal its reality to me.
He said: As soon as I uttered these words, I saw the Imam beside me! It was a very strange feeling, he touched my hand. When I returned to my normal state, I did not see him any more!
From then on, I realized that there was a secret in the presentation of the ring.
But it was not long before death overtook the son of Mahziar.
The narrator says: I was left wondering as to how he should be buried. Somebody arrived, unknowingly, removed the ring from his finger. As his hand touched the ring, there arose loud noises in the atmosphere. I did not understand what it was.
When I became conscious, I realized there was no sign of either Ali ibn Mahziar’s corpse or of that scene!
After an hour somebody said: This place you see is the grave of Ali, the son of Maziar.
Currently his grave in Ahvaz is apparent.
It was discovered that the effect of that ring was that by the order of the Imam, Rijal ul-Ghaib (men of the unseen) arose for his shrouding and burial.
