   Disclosure of Some Realities to One of Sheikh Ansari’s Students

       One of Sheikh Ansari’s students said, “Once I went to Imam Ali’s Shrine and supplicated asking for a curtain of the invisible curtains covering my eyes to be removed so that some realities would be disclosed to me.”

       After Sheikh Ansari’s student reached the degree he had asked Imam Ali for, whomever he would look at, he would see his/her origin and he would see the person according to the qualities he/she had.

Note: This is very significant: Being a human ‘in appearance’ but ‘in reality’ a fierce animal.

       The same student was passing by a corpse which had a lot of people escorting it. He saw a dog sitting on the corpse, looking around.

He came to Sheikh and asked him about the incident.

       Sheikh said, “What was within him was fierceness. Therefore, after the soul has departed from his body the same quality is personified in him in the form of a fierce animal.”

Sheikh’s student said, “What can I do? I do not have the capacity to comprehend the reality.”

Sheikh replied, “Go to Imam Ali and ask him to take back what he has granted you.”

       He went to Imam Ali’s Shrine once again and begged the Imam to take back what he had given him. However much he begged, Imam Ali did not respond.

He went to Sheikh once again asking him what he should do.

Sheikh said, “You have no other alternative but to ask Imam Ali to take away what he has granted you.”

Once again he went to Imam Ali and cried a lot.

He heard Imam Ali address him thus:

Be aware! We do not take back what we bestow!
If you want what happened to you to be negated, go to our son Imam Musa Kazim.

       He went to Kazimayn to Imam Musa Kazim’s Shrine and begged until his power was taken back.
