Conditions Required for Meetings Imam Zaman (AS)

 In the Name of Allah

Aulia Allah (great men of Allah) in traveling in the path of Wilayat each choose a certain way. In other words, those who intend to see the beauty of the Proof of God, the son of Imam Hassan Askari, Imam Zaman (may Allah hasten his reappearance) take on different paths for this purpose.
Some believe meeting Hazrat Mahdi happens suddenly, at a time when excessive difficulties occur for a holy wayfarer.
They believe excessive difficulties are when all doors are closed to a person and he feels there is no hope and truly finds himself cut off from the material world and feels he has no helper, no partner, no sympathizer, and no companion and there is a lot of distance between him and the people or he is driven away by them to such an extent that they do not give him any intellectual, psychological or moral value. At such a time he has no one who supports him, he has no true friend and no shelter.

Sometimes loneliness is when a person is not able to talk about his secrets and worries and does not have a trusted person to reveal the same.
Sometimes, the basis of loneliness is the loneliness of the eyes; nothing you see looks familiar. What fills the eyes does not belong to you. You do not find what should be seen with the precious eyes. Whatever you look at appears familiar but in fact is a stranger and there is always the fear that if something is invited to the sanctuary of your eyes, there will only be disloyalty.
Hence, some Aulia Allah (great men of Allah) believe a person who is very lonely in life connects with Imam Zaman through his heart.
Therefore, they say a person can see Imam Zaman when experiencing loneliness and deprivation. When all the difficulties mentioned above occur for an Eastern, Western, Iranian, Syrian or Bahraini person, anyone who is a human this is when the basis for meeting Imam Zaman is facilitated.
Therefore, according to this view meeting Imam Zaman's beauty will happen after experiencing the mentioned difficulties.
Thus, some who are very eager to meet Imam Zaman, expose themselves to such loneliness.
What went above was according to what some holy wayfarers and great men say about meeting Imam Zaman (AS).
Some say seeing the beauty of Imam Zaman is through lamenting and moaning. An example is Dua Nudbah, which is widely read, in which we request to meet Imam Zaman through supplicating, crying, moaning and begging. We say in this Dua (supplication) that we are nothing in comparison with your greatness. We tell Imam Zaman that although our impurities prevent us from seeing your divine beauty, we request to meet you through weeping, through shedding tears, through our inner grief, which is evident on the outside from our eyes and lips. These people are called seekers pleading for help.
One does not know to what degree the method of the above people is according to Imam Zaman's satisfaction, approval, closeness and Wilayat.
In summary, some beg to meet Imam Zaman through absolute poverty and some through absolute supplication.
Another group, to which Mullah Agha Jan Zanjani, the great gnostic belonged believed meeting Imam Zaman requires other conditions.
He believed, "Strangers should be driven away from the sanctuary of the heart, those who cause trouble; the obstacles should be driven away and then he should be sought." Mullah Agha Jan gives the following reason for this:
One of the Aulias of Allah (great men of Allah) used to go and come to Sahleh Mosque for around a year at a certain time to see the beauty of Imam Zaman.
The year was coming to an end and he was getting disappointed. He started gathering the things he had collected in a corner room of Sahleh Mosque and was going to leave.
He came to the conclusion that he did not deserve to meet Hazrat Imam Zaman because if he did, he would see Imam Zaman, but there was a veil between him and Hazrat.
As he was thinking, he saw someone by the door. The man by the door pointing his finger asked, "Who is this with whom you are sitting down and to whom you are talking? Do you not know that he is not a close friend of ours?" He said this and left the room…
The great man ran after Hazrat, finally reached him and asked, "O Hazrat why did you object?
As Hazrat was leaving, he said:
"We go to places where people are devoid of all impurities and faults.
You are devoid of faults from within but your eyes are not devoid of impurities."
He asked, "O Master, where does my fault lie?"
 Imam Zaman replied:
The person you have chosen as your friend, with whom you breathe, is not of us. How can I come close to you? Go and think of a solution. Hazrat said this and then disappeared.

 Hence, Mullah Agha Jan believed:
Meeting Imam Zaman is only possible when the eyes and heart are devoid of all faults.
But Imam Zaman is like a source of light. He is Baghiatallah (what Remains with Allah). He is in the path of the heart; He travels to the sanctuary of the heart.
Although the beliefs of the said three groups appear to be flawless and are each valid in their own places, he is the dear one of the burnt hearts and the life of the moaners.
If one's heart laments to a point where it is connected to Wilayat, meeting Imam Zaman will be possible.
Other than this, there is no other important condition such as going to certain places to meet Imam Zaman or talking to Hazrat on Fridays. Although both time and place are effective factors, he is exposed to view for those who are truly heart-broken. Unless hearts are broken, they will not be able to discover Hazrat's beauty.
On the other hand, asking for Imam Zaman's appearance through clamor is not correct. Engaging in clamor chanting O Mahdi, O Mahdi is not an effective way for meeting Hazrat.
Verily, his name must not be forgotten, sometimes through supplication, at times moaning, and sometimes by calling out to him by name so that his name will not be forgotten or wiped out. But meeting him should be sought elsewhere and that is through connection between the lamenting hearts with Wilayat.
What went above was a summary of views which consider the denial of meeting Imam Zaman to be due to some kind of an obstacle; materialistic desires, troublemakers, and sometimes dark hearts. All these obstacles should be removed; we should enter with broken hearts.
