Nafsul Qudsiul Ilahi(4)
Divine
spiritual Soul (part four)
This
book explains the soul’s illumination upon the inside perception, defined common sense,
fantasy, or Lawh Mahfuz (preserved tablet) and expresses different ideas of
philosophers in this regard. Furthermore, it is explained that some
philosophers consider the soul as life, movement, perception, quintessence
(jawhar) or fire which moves constantly. Some philosophers do not believe in
any of these ideas about the soul and rather believe in the quintessential
part, which means when the body reaches the quintessence part, it acquires illumination
of the soul. Through this idea, Mulla Sadra’ view about substantial motion is explained. In the
final part of this book, the views of Aristotle, Pythagoreans Plato and Empedocles about the
divine spiritual soul and the reason for descent of the soul are expressed. The
most prominent part is the conclusion of Ostad Mousavi through pointing out to
the narrations of Imam Ali (AS) about greatness of the divine spiritual soul and
the essence of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and derivation of the divine spiritual soul
from the light of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
