In the Name of Allah
Rejection of ‘Darwin’s Theory of Gradual Evolution’
Does the world of science cause man to become peaceful or do we have to
seek refuge in another direction which is higher than science in order to
achieve peace?
The subject we were discussing was:
Can we accept that man is deposed
from his humanity and turned into another creature?
Can scientific rules justify transformation of a human
face into that of an animal? Or when a person is transformed into an
animal through the curse of the prophet of his time, is this person truly
deprived of humanity?
It was
confirmed in the previous article that there is the possibility of
transformation of variables over many generations but this change is not
possible in the pillars of man’s humanity (man’s primary origin). In other
words, transformation into another kind of creature is not acceptable. For
instance the present state or condition of a mouse or a turtle may
transform after many years due to environmental changes. Or it can be
accepted that in millions of years changes may occur in the variables of a
human being who presently has two legs and two arms and the present body
due to changes in water, weather conditions or due to medications,
injections, waste materials and changes in food types.
But is
it acceptable that man has evolved from an animal? In other words, is it
acceptable that man’s humanity is changed into that of some bird or a
reptile? Or a reptile’s being is changed into that of a human being? Is
this acceptable?
Can we
accept that the present structure of a human being, who looks like he does
in these centuries, has progressed through the gradual evolution theory?
One of
the scientists who has researched on this issue, is Charles Darwin (There
are others too, but at the present we suffice to discussing his theory).
Charles
Robert Darwin (12 February 1809 – 19 April 1882) was a naturalist and
biologist. He had accepted transformation of different kinds through some
preliminaries. He believed since the human population was increasing
through geometric progression, reproduction of children should be
prevented. He believed in selecting the most noble and perfect men. For
example, he said if there were ten men and ten women any of them who could
create a more beautiful generation, that generation should be grown in
order for the world to become a beautiful place.
He
believed in the better generation. In other words, he believed if the
perfect ones are selected, the imperfect ones will be exterminated.
Viewpoint of Researcher and Philosopher, Professor Mosavi:
The
above were statements made by Darwin. Our explanation of the subject is as
follows: Yes, variables are changeable due to different reasons but the
humanity (man’s primary origin) of humans can not be changed.
What is
clear is that through transformation of a human face into another face,
whatever face that is, we can not accept that the human will be deprived
of his human nature. Even if the physical characteristics are changed it
is impossible for spiritualities to change. In other words, even if we
accept transformation of a human face, his human spirit will never change
and his wisdom, soul, power of understanding, passion and tendencies are
unchangeable.
Here we
have to say that science can not find its own answers and only discusses
issues in one direction. This science only talks but has not been able and
will not be able to find the results unless it appeals to the Innocents
(the Holy Prophet and the twelve Imams).
Darwin,
Einstein, Laplace or Archimedes, or in medicine Hippocrates describe
science, but they are not able to get answers from chemistry or physics or
from other sciences; they only explain things. But for example, why did
the cloud of gases form billions of years ago and how did this gas form
the first generation of stars? They may understand this to a small extent.
But what caused the attraction between the gas molecules to form stars?
They will not be able to answer this.
Yes,
science can not answer its own questions and will remain a wanderer,
unless it truly appeals to the Innocents (the Holy Prophet and the twelve
Imams) or to the true roots of the Holy Quran in order to reach a
justifiable answer.
